I have to count, now!

Let me see, I think it was '87 and '88. My youngest son was a baby. I think? Or maybe '89. So, no, I'm sure he was out by then. This CRS syndrome is the pits!
I remember they were sweeping for mines in the Gulf and caught a mine-planting enemy ship and had the bad guys on the deck and were holding guns on them, and he said it was the closest he had gotten to hand-to-hand combat.
I remember when he had a bad foot break and got a medical discharge- he was mad because he knew he was never going to be a SEAL. We lived near Redondo Beach, CA, and he worked on a bait boat in high school, and he was a certified diver. His Dad was a Viet Nam vet- Navy-nuclear sub.
My Dad's a WWII vet (Army paratrooper), so I am VERY APPRECIATIVE of our military! In fact, Major Michelle (poster above) helped point the way for me to have my Dad's medals replaced, and we presented them to him on the 4th of July- great memories!
